“Twelfth Night, 2020” is a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic that refocuses the circumstances and characters on contemporary issues. This adaptation focuses on LGBTQIA+ community inclusivity and representation, and of the role of protesting in expressing the voice of a community. Additionally, the production will work to connect with and support local community organizations. This will be an outdoor production with COVID precautions in place. At some productions, there will be talk-backs featuring speakers from important community organizations.

The performance will be held outdoors in the amphitheater just west of Hamilton-Williams Campus Center. Parking is Available at Hamilton-Williams Campus Center and Chappelear Drama Center. Seating areas will be indicated by chalk circles on the ground spread six feet apart from each other. Audience members should bring chairs and/or blankets for themselves to sit on the ground. Limited mobility/wheelchair seating is available on the east side of the amphitheatre, but at an increased distance from the stage, and at a significant angle. All audience members must wear masks at all times and should bring their own chairs/blankets for the grassy seating area.

Admission is free, but donations will be taken each night to support local community groups that work to serve others.

The play contains some violence and is recommended for those age 15 and older.
