The Budget Committee oversees reviewing and recommending allocations of funds from the Student Activity Fee, subject to final approval by the Executive Committee or Full Senate (unless otherwise stated by statute) with the advice of the Budget Advisor. Budget Committee acts as the stewards of campus programming and ensures there is diversity in programming and limits over-programming. Budget works directly with all campus clubs/organizations on budget/initiative requests, training, and recommendations. The Budget Committee considers ways to improve the budgetary guidelines as well as the long-term sustainability of the current Student Activity Fee rate.

The Public Relations Committee is the liaison between WCSA and the student body. Public Relations is responsible for managing WCSA’s social media platforms, creating flyers for events, and keeping up to date with events happening around campus. Public Relations provides the OWU community with necessary information concerning various WCSA-related events and issues and generally relays the goings-on with the WCSA. The committee promotes all WCSA elections, updates the WCSA website, and promotes Town Hall meetings for the student body to be aware of issues and voice their concerns. Public Relations also generally informs students about what is going on with WCSA while giving students opportunities to voice their opinions, including through the WCSA Comment Card Box. Members of Public Relations should show interest or have experience with working with Canva or other design platforms.

The Wesleyan Council on Student Affairs recognizes that within the full senate and on our campus, there is lacking representation for a range of students identifying within the black community, the Latinx community, the LGBT community, the disabled community, the Muslim community, and/or intersections of these identities.
In an effort to acknowledge and address this lack of representation, the 2016 term of WCSA under the Choate administration passed a bill to form the Student Inclusion Advocacy Committee. SIAC is responsible for speaking for and working on behalf of all students who identify as lacking representation within Ohio Wesleyan University. The goals of this committee are to work within WCSA and with offices on campus to study, identify, and initiate appropriate actions on issues underrepresented students on campus face. SIAC works directly with Budget Committee and faculty in OMSA, public safety, the counseling center, disability services, and the student health center.
