Delta Zeta is based on sisterhood, scholarship, service, standards, self, and social. Delta Zeta’s expressed purpose is “to unite members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, stimulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge, promote the moral and social culture of its members, and to develop plans for guidance and unity in action.” Since each of these purposes are considered worthy of the highest aim and associated effort, every sister is active within Delta Zeta, as well as throughout OWU’s campus community.
Delta Zeta is extremely committed to community service. This past year, our chapter averaged on 53 hours of service per sister. Delta Zeta’s national philanthropy is Speech and Hearing, and the Painted Turtle Camp. Every fall, Delta Zeta holds its annual Jell-O Tug-O-War, the proceeds of which are . donated to Delaware Speech and Hearing.
Delta Zeta also participates in many social events, including sisterhood activities, external and internal social events, and chapter formals.
