About the Ross Art Museum

Snakes by M.C. Escher, 1969.

OWU's Richard M. Ross Art Museum enriches the community, the university, and the lives of our students by mounting exhibitions of artists from around the world.

Exhibition openings are campus and community events, where students and community members mingle with faculty and artists, experiencing firsthand the world and the work of professional artists. The Ross Museum's exhibitions relate to and enhance the curriculum of the OWU Department of Fine Arts, as well as other academic departments, and every spring, the museum hosts the students' juried Senior Show.

The museum's permanent collection of more than 2,500 works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Frank Stella, and Alfred Stieglitz serve as a rich resource for students, faculty, and other scholars.
