Journalism major Ben Miller to host University’s Snapchat

Ohio Wesleyan senior Ben Miller plans to highlight places “where tours don’t go” when he takes over OWU’s Snapchat from February 29-March 6.

Those places include Miller’s favorite spot on campus, Fraternity Hill. The journalism major and management economics minor is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

Miller, from Middlebury, Vermont, also is an OWU Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) fellow, a member of the Terpsicorps dance troupe, a representative on the Student Conduct Board, and president of the Journalism Board.

He describes himself as upbeat, confident, and friendly and is most proud of learning how to manage his time.

Miller advises OWU’s incoming class “get involved on campus.”

“The more you put into OWU the more you will get out of it,” he says, adding that he loves how close all of the students become with each other, and with faculty and staff, too.

Among his favorite OWU connections is staff member Nancy Rutkowski, assistant director of Student Involvement for Leadership. “[She] has been a mentor to me since arriving at Ohio Wesleyan,” he says.

Miller plans to head to New York City after graduating in May to pursue a career in event management. “I’ve always wanted to live there,” he says.
