Do you have Bishop spirit—and live in Ohio?

You now can show that spirit and pride in being  Ohio Wesleyan alumni, students, faculty members, and friends by displaying OWU’s new specialty license plate on your vehicle.  On sale at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (OBMV) since April, the plates are beginning to surface on highways and byways in numerous Ohio counties.

“We can think of no better opportunity to spread the OWU name than by displaying it on our license plates,” says Bill Preble, OWU vice president of enrollment and strategic communications. “By choosing to license your car with the new OWU plate—everywhere you travel, both locally and across the country—countless people will be reminded about our wonderful institution.” OWU alumni are the University’s most important ambassadors who continue to promote the strengths and fond memories of their alma mater.

“The plates allow our alumni and friends to demonstrate their school spirit and at the same time, support our current students in their pursuit of academic excellence at Ohio Wesleyan,” says Roger Ingles, director of athletics.

To keep the license plate opportunity going, a minimum of 150 plates must be sold by April 2011.

For further information about ordering the new Ohio Wesleyan license plates online, visit the OBMV Web site.
