Yesterday, Unigo.com, which The Wall Street Journal calls “a college-information resource built for the age of YouTube and Facebook,” named OWU one of “The Top 10 Schools That Fly Under the Academic Radar—but Shouldn’t.” More than 30,000 students participated in the voting.

The list was featured in The Huffington Post throughout the day and also is found on The Huffington Post’s College News Page.

Other schools on the alphabetical list include:

Bard College Denison University Hampshire College Harvey Mudd College Kenyon College Knox College Reed College Sarah Lawrence College Wabash College

According to the article, Ohio Wesleyan students noted the University’s “personal, intimate classes,” “relaxed, enjoyable, but well-structured atmosphere,” number of international students who “add to our education outside the classroom,” and the “huge” amount of community service in which students participate.

One student offered an opinion of the entire experience by saying OWU is situated in “a beautiful town. Small, for sure. But it’s home to the best ice cream in the Midwest, and the best pizza shop, too. Overall, college life at OWU can be summed up as ‘idyllic.’”
