Reviewer Praises Ohio Wesleyan Professor’s ‘Hilarious’ James Bond Book

So writes Jeremy Benson about Ohio Wesleyan University assistant professor Michelle Disler’s latest book, “[BOND, JAMES]: alphabet, anatomy, [auto]biography.”
Benson, writing for NewPages.com, praises Disler for exposing the secret agent, stating: “The result of Disler’s dissection is, in one word, hilarious. She’s helped a little by [Bond author Ian] Fleming’s Britishisms, cartoonishly foreign to an American’s ear and well-aged over the last six decades; but mostly, like a caricaturist on a boardwalk, the humor is in the exploded view of what we could already see so clearly.”
Disler, Ph.D., an assistant professor of English, became interested in Fleming’s books while earning her doctorate at Ohio University. She teaches nonfiction writing at Ohio Wesleyan, including a course that examines several Bond books and films.
