Performance Artist Tim Miller to Visit Ohio Wesleyan
DELAWARE, Ohio – Performance artist Tim Miller’s one-man show “Glory Box” has been described as a “funny, sexy, and politically charged exploration” of the marriage and immigration issues faced by gay and lesbian men and women who have partners from other countries. In it, Miller recounts his struggles to keep his Australian partner in the United States.
Miller will perform “Glory Box” (the Australian term for hope chest) at 8 p.m. Feb. 21 on the Main Stage of Ohio Wesleyan University’s Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Reservations are recommended for the performance, which is intended for mature audiences.

Miller’s performances have been presented all over North America, Australia, and Europe in such respected venues as the Yale Repertory Theatre, the Institute of Contemporary Art (London), the Walker Art Center (Minneapolis), and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. In 2007, he earned the Lambda Literary Award for best book in drama-theatre.
Miller, who lives in California, has taught performance at the University of California, Los Angeles; New York University; the Claremont School of Theology; and universities across the United States. He is a co-founder of Performance Space 122 on Manhattan’s Lower East Side and of Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, Calif.
