OWU Battling ‘Bellies’

Ohio Wesleyan University’s Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity hosted its third belly flop fund-raiser October 5 at the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center. The event raised more than $1,500, with all proceeds benefiting the Central Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The philanthropy of the Sig Ep brothers also was covered by WSYX/WTTE TV’s Johnny DiLoretto, who broadcast live from the Meek Center on October 4.

OWU’s first belly flop fund-raiser was held in February 2010 to aid victims of the January 2010 Haitian earthquake. The second was held in November 2010 to benefit victims of the summer 2010 floods in Pakistan.
