Ohio Wesleyan’s Austin Manor, Dean of Students Featured in Time.com Article

Ohio Wesleyan University’s intergenerational living community, Austin Manor, has been a unique part of the OWU campus for more than 25 years.

Ohio Wesleyan University’s Austin Manor and OWU Dean of Students Kimberlie Goldsberry, Ph.D., are featured in Time.com’s Aug. 22 article “How Retirees Can Help a College Town Thrive.”

The article discusses Austin Manor, an intergenerational on-campus residence, with OWU students and employees as well as senior citizens among its residents.

In the article, writer Victor Luckerson says: “Austin Manor’s uncommon integration began in 1985, but it can provide a successful blueprint for how colleges and college towns can recruit both the young and the old today. Making a college town a retirement destination can help diversify a community’s economic base as well as its demographics.”
