6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 – The OWU Spanish Film Festival presents “Pan negro” (“Black Bread”), in the Benes Rooms of Ohio Wesleyan’s Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware. In the harsh post-war Catalan countryside, Andreu, a child from the losing side, finds the corpses of a man and his son in the forest. The film, made in Spain, will be presented by Eva París-Huesca, M.A., instructor in modern foreign languages. Admission is free. Oct. 13 through Dec. 18 – Exhibitions of water-themed photography in two Ohio Wesleyan galleries – Alumni Gallery and Gallery 2001. Images by OWU graduate and professional photographer Dwight Hiscano, Class of 1985, will be on display in the Alumni Gallery, while creations by Columbus-area landscape, event, and portrait photographer Rick Buchanan will be on display in Gallery 2001. Water-themed art was chosen to coincide with Ohio Wesleyan’s 2014 Sagan National Colloquium, an exploration of “H2OWU: Water in Our World.” Buchanan’s pieces were selected by students in the gallery management class. The Alumni Gallery, 16 Rowland Ave., Delaware, is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
