Nearly 800 of the country’s most accomplished track & field athletes will compete May 26-28 at the 2011 NCAA Division III men’s and women’s national outdoor track & field championships hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
Competition will begin at noon each day at Selby Stadium and George Gauthier Track and continue under the lights May 26-27.
Turner Broadcasting System will be on hand to webstream much of the competition online and to interview winning athletes. A link for the streams is not available yet, but it will be posted on the Battling Bishop Athletics site prior to the competition. (Just click on the NCAA logo.) CBS Sports also will be on hand to tape parts of the national championships for broadcast at a later date.
Also adding excitement to the event is the addition of a new video scoreboard, funded with private gifts including a lead gift from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The video scoreboard will become a permanent feature at Selby Stadium.
