Ohio Wesleyan Professor to Analyze Presidential Debate

DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University politics and government professor Joan E. McLean, Ph.D., will appear Oct. 4 on WOSU radio’s “All Sides with Ann Fisher” to discuss the first U.S. presidential debate of the 2012 campaign.
Incumbent Democratic President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney will discuss domestic policy in a debate scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern Time Oct. 3. Jim Lehrer, host of “PBS NewsHour,” will moderate the 90-minute event.
McLean will help to analyze the debate on “All Sides,” which will broadcast live from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET Oct. 4. The program is available on 89.7 FM. After it airs, the show will be archived online for listening on demand.
McLean, who joined the Ohio Wesleyan faculty in 1990, has worked on two presidential campaigns and also helped to shape Geraldine Ferraro’s nomination strategy and bid for the vice presidency in 1984.
