Ohio Wesleyan Performing Arts Series To Feature Folk Music Duo

DELAWARE, OH – Called “one of the most impassioned folk-fiddlers you’ll ever hear,” David Greenberg and musical partner Chris Norman, praised by critics as “the finest wooden flute player in the world,” will be the second performers in this year’s Ohio Wesleyan University Performing Arts Series.
Their concert will emphasize traditional folk music, incorporating flutes, violins, pipes, keyboards, and voice. Playing together for more than a decade, the duo’s latest CD is “Let Me In This Ae Night,” a collection of Scottish and baroque music “delivered with blazing musicianship.”
Their Ohio Wesleyan performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. Nov. 11 in Jemison Auditorium inside Sanborn Hall, 23 Elizabeth St.
Tickets for all Ohio Wesleyan Performing Arts Series events are $20 for general admission; $5 for non-OWU students and senior citizens; and free for OWU students and employees. 8 p.m. Feb. 3, 2012 – The Rose Ensemble performs “Land of Three Faiths: Music of Mediterranean Jews, Christians and Muslims,” in Gray Chapel in University Hall, 61 S. Sandusky St. This event is co-sponsored with the OWU Department of Religion.
8 p.m. Feb. 10, 2012 – Actor Anthony Zerbe presents the poetry of E.E. Cummings, in Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave.
