Ohio Wesleyan Employee Joins Board of American College Health Association

DELAWARE, Ohio – Marsha A. Tilden, Ohio Wesleyan University’s director of student health services, has been elected to serve a two-year term on the board of directors of the American College Health Association (ACHA).
Founded in 1920, the Hanover, Md.-based ACHA works to advance the health of college students and campuses across the country. The association serves more than 800 public and private colleges with more than 2,800 affiliated health care professionals.
Tilden will serve through 2014 as one of 18 members of the ACHA board of directors. She represents Region III, one of 11 ACHA regional affiliate organizations.
In announcing Tilden’s election, ACHA leadership said: “Our association could not have flourished for over nine decades without the commitment and leadership of professionals such as Marsha, who have voluntarily chosen to help lead and chart the course for college health over the years. … [W]e expect that Marsha will contribute immensely to the growth and development of ACHA and the college health field.”
Tilden, a certified nurse practitioner, has served as Ohio Wesleyan’s director of student health services for 12 years. The Delaware, Ohio, resident also is a university alumna, earning her OWU bachelor’s degree in 1981.
In addition to her work with ACHA, Tilden is a past president of the Ohio College Health Association and provides expertise in community volunteer efforts for HelpLine of Delaware and Morrow Counties Inc., the Delaware County Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Delaware County Wellness Collaborative.
