Ohio Wesleyan Appoints Vice President for Enrollment

DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University today announced the appointment of Susan Dileno, MBA, as vice president for enrollment.
Dileno currently serves as vice president for enrollment management at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. She will join Ohio Wesleyan in the summer, overseeing the offices of admission and financial aid, and helping prospective students and families navigate the college-enrollment process.
“Susan Dileno brings to OWU proven leadership in admission and financial aid that has consistently resulted in successful recruiting at the institutions where she has served,” said Barbara Andereck, Ph.D., chair of the search committee, assistant provost for assessment and accreditation, and professor of physics and astronomy.
“Susan’s successes are closely tied to her strategic vision for her division and the care with which she mentors her staff,” Andereck continued. “Her calm demeanor is an added plus in the ever-more frenzied world of admission. She works well with all constituencies on campus as well as with prospective students and their parents. We are, indeed, fortunate that she will be joining us at Ohio Wesleyan.”
Dileno has served nearly 11 years as vice president for enrollment at Baldwin Wallace, a private liberal arts college in suburban Cleveland with approximately 4,000 students. During her tenure, she has created and implemented a comprehensive enrollment management plan that has identified new markets and programs and incorporated predictive modeling to enhance effectiveness.
Dileno also has increased student diversity and implemented customer relationship-management and document-imaging technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability. She is a member of the Baldwin Wallace President’s Cabinet, working to support institutional policies, budget priorities, and the university’s strategic plan.

Prior to joining Baldwin Wallace, Dileno worked as the dean of enrollment management at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., for four years and at Cleveland-based Case Western Reserve University for 11 years, including seven years as the director of admission.
Dileno holds a Bachelor of Science degree in commerce with a minor in political science from Niagara University in Lewiston, N.Y., and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing from Case Western Reserve. She is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling, the College Board, and the Ohio College Access Network. She also serves on the Higher Education Compact of Greater Cleveland.
