Making a NAfME for Themselves
It’s been a notable month at Ohio Wesleyan.
Since spring semester began, eight students have attended the 2019 Ohio Music Education Association Professional Development Conference in Cleveland. (They raised funds by hosting a dinner that included serenading diners at downtown Delaware’s J. Gumbo’s restaurant.)
Ohio Wesleyan also celebrated Martin Luther King Day with a sold-out community breakfast that explored “The Beloved Community.” During the 26th annual event, Tracy S. Malone, resident bishop of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, reminded everyone that we must speak up, mobilize, engage, and act if we want to change the world for the better.
OWU then invited the community back to campus for the Bishop Backers Winter Community Day, which included a record number of tables at its Delaware Expo.
Lectures, student involvement events, and more also have kept Bishops busy. Check out more Images of OWU from these noteworthy happenings.
