DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University today announced its December 2024 lineup of public events. Unless otherwise noted, admission is free.
Now through Dec. 13: Ohio Wesleyan's Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware, features three concurrent exhibits:
- "Fossils and Halos" showcases the artistic responses of Ohio Wesleyan Fine Arts professors Kristina Bogdanov, Frank Hobbs, and Jeff Nilan to an object selected from OWU's Natural History Museum – a 370-million-year-old shark fossil.
- "Pictures with Stories" features images by photographer and writer Tony Mendoza as he documents his family's history from pre-Castro Cuba to the present.
- "Culture Push" creates a visual response to Fritz Scholder's "Hollywood Indian" on loan from Art Bridges. The exhibit uses works from the university's permanent collection to support the curriculum developed for OWU's first-year student seminar. It features works chosen to investigate the powerful cultural forces that shape people's lives and will be on display through March 23, 2025.
