Brian A. Rellinger, Executive Director of Information Technology

Brian A. Rellinger, OWU’s new executive director of Information Technology, joined the University in April 2010.

Ohio Wesleyan’s new executive director of Information Technology, Brian A. Rellinger, has been making the rounds on campus—meeting with people in many areas to hear about their technical needs and to discuss the new major software systems being implemented on various parts of campus.

“I am looking forward to working with OWU faculty and staff in a collaborative manner,” he says. “I also love to discuss new, cutting-edge technologies with students.”

Rellinger comes to OWU from Bowling Green State University, where he served in a number of management positions in informational technology services, including roles in systems support and customer relations.

He earned a business administration bachelor’s degree in management information systems and a master’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green. He has been commuting back to Bowling Green for weekly evening classes as he seeks his doctorate of education in leadership studies, which he hopes to complete by 2012.

Although Ohio Wesleyan and Bowling Green State University are very different in size and type, Rellinger says they are alike in one way: Both OWU and Bowling Green are implementing major new software systems.

A native of Kalida, Ohio (near Findlay and Lima), Rellinger, his wife, Melanie, and their two-and-a-half-year-old son, Evan, live in Bowling Green. For relaxation, he enjoys the non-technical outdoor hobbies of camping and fishing in Michigan and upstate New York.
