Staff Committees
The OWU Staff Council has four committees that meet regularly to discuss business as it relates to staff members and the general campus community. All OWU employees are eligible to serve on the committees. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact the Staff Council at staffcouncil@owu.edu.
Recognition
The Recognition Committee serves to expand campus awareness of individual or group staff achievements through various publications or Staff Council events. The committee recognizes those employees celebrating milestones with Ohio Wesleyan during the Employee Service Recognition Luncheon. Throughout the academic year, the committee also coordinates employee recognition events in partnership with campus administration, athletics, and other campus entities.
Governance
The Governance committee coordinates and supervises the election of staff representatives, and recommends staff representatives to University committees. The committee reports monthly on the financial status of the Staff Council and drafts an itemized budget for review and approval.
Communications
The Communications committee coordinates all OWU Staff Council communications. The committee reviews questions submitted through the Ask Staff Council form and coordinates responses. The committee regularly presents submitted questions for discussion by Staff Council as a whole.
