The OWU community is invited to attend a workshop with Althea Jones, a multidisciplinary artist practicing in Akron, Ohio. Jones will present "Superpowers & Art" from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Ross Art Museum. The number of participants is limited and the workshop's sign-up sheet will be provided via OWU Daily (starting Aug. 21).

Jones' work focuses on self-actualization and community building. Her current work "Skin Color" is a social practice piece that seeks to encourage self-love, create community, and reframe implicit bias.

This workshop is sponsored by Jarvis Stewart Lectureship Endowed Fund.
