Chappelear Drama Center | Main Stage

The OWU Department of Performing Arts will present “Orchesis 21/22” at 8 p.m. Nov. 12 and at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Nov.13 on the Main Stage of Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware.

The show features 12 dancers and seven contemporary dance pieces created by students, faculty and a guest choreographer.

Guest choreographer Maree ReMalia collaborated with dancers to create “Moving in Multitudes.” ReMalia describes it as “Being with what is—in our bodies, in our world. Embracing the moment and being moved into new possibilities by each other. Moving with our joys and challenges, that which has shaped us and that is yet to be discovered.”

The show also features the choreography of senior choreographers Ellie Bearss and Anne Raspe (presenting her senior project); junior choreographers Alex Dolph and Kayla Rush; and sophomore choreographer Ali Dix. Dance faculty Rashana Perks Smith will round out the concert with a company piece.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens and non-OWU students. Admission is free for Ohio Wesleyan students and employees with valid university IDs.
