What an unforgettable milestone! I look forward to celebrating our 50th and hope you'll be there.
"The truth shall make you free" appears as the cornerstone of one of my favorite buildings on campus. Looking forward to being in Delaware for our 50th Reunion in May and seeing all of you—and this inscription—once again.
Amazingly, we've arrived at both 50 years and 70+ years—but just about every day, I feel as though I'm still 24 inside my head. Although body wear-and-tear reminds me of my actual age, the years have been both kind and lots of fun. If you're reading this, I hope that you, too, lay claim to all sorts of adventures big and small—and that we all can keep those trends going for more years to come. Be kind, be happy, be a Battling Bishop every day!
REUNION! RETURN! RECONNECT! REMINISCENCE!
I am hoping that as many members of our class will attend our 50th to remember our days at OWU, to rekindle friendships, and to extol the strides that our beloved alma mater and campus have achieved. It is a time of celebration of the time we spent together in our undergrad days and of the renewed camaraderie we hope to embrace in May 2025.
Pounds heavier, follicly challenged, somewhat wrinkled, and still playing volleyball - I look forward to seeing everyone at our 50th OWU Reunion in May.
The OWU friendships I made from 1971–1975 (and those spanning my 41 years working there) are invaluable to me. I am SO looking forward to seeing classmates from our great class at the upcoming 50th reunion in May! PLEASE plan to come back to share in the reminiscences and the fun, and to honor Ohio Wesleyan for helping to make us who we are today.
President Bush used to say, "To whom much is given, much is expected." I had the four best years of my life at Ohio Wesleyan, intellectually and socially, that laid a platform for everything that came afterwards. It would be so much fun to see everyone for our 50th reunion, and I would love for everyone to see what the campus looks like now. If you come, I promise we'll have fun!
It is a gift to be invited to attend this once in a lifetime event. I look forward to seeing friends from the analog era, when punch cards ran computers, music was played on vinyl records, and we were cautioned not to trust anyone over 30. All we faced then was the Draft, Vietnam, Nixon and the swagger and romance of our youth. I hope everyone that can attend will attend.
Our committee has arranged hotel blocks in Delaware, OH close to OWU's campus. Book your travel now before they fill up!
We have a block of 25 rooms and they are all double queen. The rate is $149.99/night. Please call and ask for the OWU 1975 room block.
We have a block of 25 rooms. The rate is $80.00 per night and when booking please ask for Keely.
The hotel has only 37 rooms and will not be offering a discount. The rate is around $165.00 but depends on the room. The Pacer Inn is the only hotel that is walkable to campus (10-minute walk, just 1/2 mile) which might be important to some classmates who will not have a car. Call soon as it is a smaller hotel.
