Alumni Career Development Programs and Resources

Being an OWU alum has its advantages! You can make an impact by volunteering your time and sharing your professional experiences with current OWU students and Alumni. OWU's Career Connection Office also offers lifetime services to help alums reach their professional goals. Explore Career Connection's vast resources for alumni and get connected!

Career Support for Students:

  • Be an Alumni Partner - As an Alumni Partner, your contact information is available on our website. Students, alumni, and faculty/staff can reach out for 1:1 conversations, presentation invitations, and other engagements. We'll also consider you first for student connections, presentations, networking events, and more! Learn more about being an Alumni Partner.
  • Launch and Employer Page - Career Connection seeks to increase Alumni partnerships at places of employment to help students learn from your experiences. Learn more about launching an Employer Page.
  • Hire a Bishop -  Please email careers@owu.edu with your opportunity, and we will share it in our newsletters and on our UConnect virtual career center! We also encourage you to post on Handshake, as our virtual career center will pull in all postings.
  • Sponsor a Shadowing or Externship Experience - Give students a glimpse into your job or industry by sponsoring a shadow day or externship experience. To get started, contact Mindy Agin at mbagin@owu.edu.
  • Participate in OWU Career Fairs - Career Connection offers two robust career fairs a year with 70+ employers and programs. Registration is on Handshake, and we typically have 250+ students attend our events. We are excited to welcome you to OWU's campus in Delaware, OH! Reach out to careers@owu.edu with questions and to express your interest.
  • Mentor Students through the Women of Ohio Wesleyan (WOW) Mentorship Program - WOW events connect Ohio Wesleyan women on campus (or virtually) in conversations, activities, and topics that promote leadership, perseverance, and empowerment. OWU seeks professional alums to mentor students in career interests, professional development and/or guidance, or personal growth. Networking & Career Support for Alumni:

  • Learn from an Alumni Partner - The Career Connection's Alumni Partners Program connects OWU alumni with Alumni Partner volunteers for free professional advice and mentorship. Learn more about reaching out to an Alumni Partner.
  • Get 1:1 Career Advice - Meet with a Career Catalyst at OWU to discuss your professional needs and receive valuable insights and solutions. Email careers@owu.edu with questions and to schedule a meeting.
  • Attend an OWU Career Fair or Event - Career Connection offers two robust career-fairs each year, along with a wealth of events & programs related to networking, professional development, personal branding, interviewing, and more. Get details about upcoming events.
