Scholarship Opportunities

Transfer students have the same opportunities for merit-based scholarships as first year students. There are a variety of options for transfer students in terms of scholarship, based on where you are transferring from, how much college credit you have completed, and your GPA in the college credit courses you have completed so far.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships ($2,000 stackable and renewable) are available to students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa.  

General Scholarship

Students will be evaluated based on their current GPA and the amount of college credit they have completed in order to receive their merit based aid. Click here to see general merit scholarship standards for university admission.

Alumni Referral Award

The Alumni Referral Award is a $1,000 per year award given to students who have been referred to OWU by OWU Alumni. Ask your Transfer Admission Counselor about deadlines based on the semester you're interested in enrolling at OWU. Alumni must complete the referral form, which is available here.

OWU Visit Award

Any student interested in transferring to OWU who visits before December 15 and enrolls at OWU for the following spring semester will be eligible for the OWU Visit Award worth $1,000 each year! This award will be in addition to any merit-based scholarships you receive upon admission to OWU.
