English Transfer Pathway

Community college students who wish to transfer to Ohio Wesleyan to earn a bachelor’s degree in English can follow the English Transfer Pathway approved by the statewide Ohio Guaranteed Transfer Pathway (OGTP) and transfer seamlessly to the university.

When you complete an associate’s degree that includes the English Transfer Pathway, you will transfer as a college junior to Ohio Wesleyan, with your introductory major courses and most of your general education courses completed, bringing maximum credit from your associate degree. You will be right on track to complete your bachelor’s degree in English in as little as four semesters.

  • Transfer pathways give you clarity in the courses you take from your community college and assurance that your courses will transfer smoothly toward your bachelor’s degree at Ohio Wesleyan.
  • You’ll transfer with your introductory major and most of your general education courses completed. 
  • With the associate degree and transfer pathway, students can transfer to Ohio Wesleyan as a college junior, with maximum credit counting toward the major and bachelor’s degree. Check with a transfer advisor to make sure you meet GPA and other admission requirements.
  • Once you’ve enrolled at Ohio Wesleyan, you can complete your bachelor’s degree in as little as two years, enrolled as a full-time student.
  • Transfer advisers at Ohio Wesleyan and your community college are working together for your success! We will answer questions and guide you every step of the way.
