More than 180 years ago, the people of Delaware donated to the Rev. Adam Poe to purchase the Mansion House (known today as Elliott Hall) and founded a college. Through their generosity and vision, Ohio Wesleyan University was chartered in 1842. OWU owes its existence to the people of Delaware, and it is fitting that we give back to the famility of our community.
If you live in Delaware County or attend any of the Delaware County high schools listed below, you may be eligible for the OWU Delaware County Promise Scholarship.
Ohio Wesleyan is a residential campus community, where students live, learn, and play in an environment that promotes personal growth and success. Delaware County Promise students must live on campus.
This is the easy part. Just apply to OWU as a first-year student, send your transcripts, and complete the FAFSA. We'll do the rest and let you know if you're eligible.
The Delaware Promise Program is only applicable to domestic first-year students, and any outside financial aid received, such as Pell Grants, will be applied to tuition.
