Ohio Wesleyan is a member of the Ohio Consortium for Transfer Pathways to the Liberal Arts, a group of 25 two-year and four-year colleges working together to provide clear, consistent transfer pathways for community college students seeking to earn bachelor's degrees.
Ohio Wesleyan has approved transfer pathways in Biology, English, and Psychology for transfer students attending any of the 11 community colleges involved in the Ohio Consortium.
And now that they exist, the pathways are available to students at most community colleges statewide to enable you to earn maximum transfer credit when you choose to become a Bishop to earn your bachelor’s degree!
OWU-Ohio Consortium Benefits
- Transfer pathways give you clarity in the courses you take at your community college and assurance that your courses will transfer smoothly toward your Ohio Wesleyan bachelor’s degree.
- You’ll transfer with your introductory major and most of your general education courses already completed.
- With your associate degree and transfer pathway, you can transfer to Ohio Wesleyan as a college junior, with maximum credit counting toward your major and bachelor’s degree. Check with our Admission team to make sure you meet OWU's GPA and other admission requirements.
- Once you’ve enrolled at Ohio Wesleyan, you can complete your bachelor’s degree in as little as two years, enrolled as a full-time student.
- Transfer advisers at Ohio Wesleyan and community colleges are working together for your success! We will answer questions and guide you every step of the way.
The Ohio Consortium for Transfer Pathways to the Liberal Arts was created with leadership from The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges (OFIC) and funded with a grant from the Teagle Foundation and Arthur Vining Davis Foundations.
