English Edge
9-9:40 a.m.
LOCATION: Merrick Hall 202
Join our panel showcasing the marketable, professional skills students acquire in OWU's English Department courses. Faculty moderators and student presenters will demonstrate how course projects in digital storytelling, computational text analysis, podcasting, social media content creation, and interactive fiction blend traditional literary theory with modern technology. Discover how students apply concepts like morphological analysis to create innovative digital content, including interactive games inspired by Russian wondertales and how they use digital forms like podcasts to practice the writing and research skills that are the foundation of public humanities work. All projects are publicly accessible on the OWU Lit Hatch site, our digital humanities micro lab.
