The OWU Connection Conference provides an opportunity for every Ohio Wesleyan student to share their signature Connection experience with the University community and explore the OWU Connection through the reflection and storytelling of their classmates.
The Conference is an experience that inspires students to see themselves in any and every part of the Connection as they map their unique OWU journey.
The OWU campus will transform into a student-centered, professional conference setting where students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the central Ohio community can experience each element of the OWU Connection through interactive, thought-provoking, dynamic, student-led panels, poster presentations, performances, exhibits, and roundtables.
All participants will see and hear how our students have researched big questions, given back to the community through sustained service, traveled and engaged with different cultures, explored potential career paths, and imagined the many ways their future may take shape.
One of the major changes to the OWU General Education curriculum is the integration of the OWU Connection. The Conference offers a unique opportunity for students to reflect upon their OWU Connection experiences and project how those experiences will launch them forward toward personal and professional development and success. Through the OWU Connection Conference, EVERY OWU student will be able to see how they are a part of the OWU Connection and learn how to incorporate Connection experiences into their time at OWU. The OWU Connection Conference will enable instructors to link their course content to Connection opportunities in ways that align with their course learning objectives.
