Ohio Wesleyan and Case Western Reserve University offer an early admission pathway for OWU students seeking to earn master's degrees in any of the four programs at CWRU's acclaimed Weatherhead School of Management.

Through the collaboration, Ohio Wesleyan students accepted into one of the Weatherhead School pathway programs will receive a scholarship of at least $10,000, with the potential to receive additional merit aid.

Outstanding Opportunities

The Weatherhead School degree programs included in Ohio Wesleyan's early admission pathway are:

  • Master of Accountancy: The MAcc program offers both Professional (two-semester) and STEM-designated (three-semester) pathways and prepares students for careers in public accounting, corporate finance, advisory services, and more. It is open to all undergraduate majors and offers pathways to professional licensure and roles at the intersection of technology and financial leadership.
  • Master of Business Analytics & Intelligence: The MBAI program combines training in advanced data analytics tools, including machine learning and artificial intelligence, in the context of business decisions to prepare graduates for leadership in a data-driven world. The STEM-designated program equips students with both technical expertise and strategic insight to solve complex business challenges. It is open to all undergraduate majors and may be completed in either two or three semesters.
  • Master of Supply Chain Management: The MSCM program equips graduates to thrive in a rapidly evolving global supply chain environment. Combining advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and real-world projects, the STEM-designated degree prepares students for leadership roles across industries such as manufacturing, retail, and healthcare. It is open to all undergraduate majors and may be completed in either two or three semesters.
  • Master of Finance: The customizable MFin program blends rigorous academic foundations with real-world applications, creating a gateway to a thriving finance career. Students choose from tracks in Corporate Finance or Quantitative Finance to align their degree with their career aspirations. It is open to all undergraduate majors and may be completed in either two or three semesters.

Case Western Reserve is part of the CFA Institute University Recognition Program, with the Weatherhead School's Master of Finance program recognized for incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and for emphasizing the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. Graduates are well-positioned to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, widely regarded as the most respected investment credential in the world. Ohio Wesleyan's Finance program also is part of the CFA Institute University Recognition program.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications for all four master's degree programs are being accepted now, with application fees waived for OWU students. Applicants will be notified of an early admission decision at the end of their junior year.

To be eligible, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve an OWU grade point average of 3.0 or higher by the end of their junior year, earn a 3.0 or higher in specifically required prerequisite courses, and, ultimately, graduate from Ohio Wesleyan with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Weatherhead School is test-optional, with applicants able to waive the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) test if they choose to do so.

Ohio Wesleyan's partnership with Case Western Reserve provides no guarantee of admission. Students must meet the Weatherhead School master's program entry requirements.
