Luisa Duarte '26

My name is Luisa Duarte and I am from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I plan on double majoring in Quantitative Economics and Finance, with a minor in Mathematics. On campus, I am part of the Accounting and Finance Fellows Program, Economics Honor Society tutoring, and a member of the Investment Club. I also work as a grader for an Economics course and as an Economic Development Research Fellow with Regionomics. I look forward to the opportunity of being a Corns Scholar and expanding my knowledge in business and entrepreneurship.

Maisie Dugger '26

Hello, my name is Maisie Dugger and I am a rising junior at Ohio Wesleyan University. I am currently studying business management with a minor in finance. Outside of academics, I am a part of the women's tennis team and work for the school as a residential assistant. If I am not in class you can find me studying in Slocum or eating with my friends in the dining hall. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past two years here at OWU and I am very excited for the opportunities that being a part of the Corns Scholars Program has to offer. Anna Haines '26

Hi, my name is Anna Haines and I am an Accounting and Communication major with a Business minor. I am a member of the swim team and serve as the OWU Model UN president. I am part of the Woltemade Center's WEB Fellows program, Accounting and Finance Fellows, and now, Corns Scholars! I am also part of Global Scholars and I intend to study abroad in Barcelona in the spring of my junior year. I am honored to be chosen as a Corns Scholar and am so excited for the opportunities to come!

Areli Hernandez '26

My name is Areli Hernandez. I am from Menlo Park, California, and study Business Administration (Marketing Concentration) with a minor in Spanish at OWU. On campus, I am a member of two E-sport teams, an Economic Management Fellow, and the social media manager for the WLC department. After graduation, I intend to pursue a career in Marketing or in Accounting as a Tax Consultant. I am so excited to join the Corns Scholars Program and I look forward to the opportunities, professional connections, and experiences this program has to offer.

Gabe O'Reilly '26

Hello, my name is Gabe O'Reilly and I am going into my junior year at Ohio Wesleyan. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Corns Scholars program and believe it will be a valuable experience to bolster my finance major. In addition to my major, I am also pursuing two minors in English and economics. Athletically, I am a captain of the varsity men's soccer team. Over the course of my two years here at OWU, I have made lifelong friends, competed at the highest level, received an amazing education, and cultivated strong relationships with professors and fellow students. This summer I will be working at Diperna & Co., a boutique investment banking firm, as an intern. I look forward to all of the incredible opportunities the Corns Scholars program will provide me as well as using my talents to add value to the program. I would like to thank all of my professors, especially my advisor Professor MacLeod, for all of their guidance, support, and encouragement.

Hi, I am Trip Pierce and I am from Lake Forest, Illinois. I am going into my junior year and grateful for the opportunity to move forward as a Corns Scholar. I am currently pursuing a major in finance, and I am a member of the golf team at Ohio Wesleyan. I am excited to take part in the Corns Scholarship program and excited to utilize the great resources at my hand. I will be studying abroad and interning in Florence, Italy this summer.

Elizabeth Pollner '26

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Pollner and I am from Columbus, Ohio. I am pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration and a minor in Fine Arts. At OWU, I am a member of the Economics Honor Society, a tour guide in the admissions office and a lifeguard at Meek Aquatic Center. I'm also part of the Women's Cross Country and Track & Field teams. I plan to spend this summer working at an internship in Portland, Oregon, with an OWU Alumni. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first two years at OWU and am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Corns Scholars Program!

Ben Staggers '26

Hi, my name is Ben Staggers and I am a rising junior from Greencastle, Indiana. I am a double major in Business Administration Marketing and Sociology/Anthropology and a double minor in Psychology and Finance. I am a member of Circle K, Model UN, Film Club, and WEB Fellows as well as a campus tour guide and an intern at the Delaware Entrepreneurial Center. I am looking forward to being in the Corns Scholars program and looking forward to the opportunities and experiences that this program will provide as well as making connections with others.

Aryaka Tickoo '26

I, Aryaka Tickoo, am from Mumbai, India, am double majoring in Environmental Science and Business Management. Since my first year at OWU, I have been very involved on campus, which has led me to become the Vice President of Horizons and Women in Entrepreneurship. In addition, I am on the Dean's Council, the Campus Programming Board, Women in Science, and other student organizations. I have also contributed to the campus community as a Resident Assistant at Smith Hall and the Student Intern at the International & Off-Campus Programs Office since summer 2023. As an aspiring social entrepreneur, I'm thrilled to be selected as a Corns Scholar, where I can cultivate and advance my entrepreneurial aspirations and skills for a better future!
