Conrad Gregory joins Ohio Wesleyan University from California, where he cultivated a diverse career and passion for French language and culture. Raised in England, Conrad moved to California at the age of sixteen, eventually earning his B.A. in French and International Relations from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After college, his journey took him to Paris, France for nearly a decade, where he obtained a Master's in International Relations and worked in haute couture, market research, and management consulting.
After returning to California, Conrad shifted his focus to teaching, driven by a lifelong passion for language learning and cultural exchange. He earned a Master's in Teaching Second Languages with an emphasis on French from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Conrad's teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in his belief that learning a second language provides students with the linguistic and cultural competence they need to succeed in our interconnected world. Having lived and worked across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, he values the development of intercultural competence as one of the most essential skills, helping students engage with both local and global communities and become true global citizens.
At Ohio Wesleyan, Conrad is excited to continue exploring his academic interests as well as continuing to grow and learn as a teacher.
When he's not teaching, you might find Conrad running, following soccer, exploring the unique charms and history of the Midwest and keeping up with the adventures of his two daughters in Southern California.
