About

Clara Lucia Fodera, a native of Torino, Italy, brings a wealth of international experience and linguistic expertise to Ohio Wesleyan University. Clara developed an early passion for languages and cultural exchange. She earned her bachelor's degree in foreign languages from her hometown university, specializing in Spanish and Mandarin.

Clara's journey then took her to China, where she completed an MBA at the University of International Business of Beijing. During her decade in Beijing, she honed her Mandarin skills and immersed herself in the local culture, fostering a deep understanding of global business and cross-cultural communication.

Pursuing her passion for languages and cultures  education, Clara obtained a Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language from Kent State University.

At Ohio Wesleyan, Clara is committed to enriching the academic community with her diverse background and innovative teaching approaches. Her multilingual proficiency in Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, and English allows her to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and prepare them to succeed in global opportunities.

Besides her professional endeavors, Clara enjoys playing volleyball, exploring new destinations, and cherishing moments with her beloved husband and son.
