About

Michelle joined the faculty of OWU in 2023. Her course offerings currently focus on social psychology and quantitative methodology, but she has previous experience in topics of educational psychology, abnormal psychology, human & child development, and counseling theories. Prior to her doctorate education, Michelle worked at a community mental health servicer for adults with developmental disabilities and in the Seattle public school system.

Michelle's area of expertise focuses on the educational psychology of pedagogy and instruction for college-age and adult learners, as well as the social influence authority on obedient and compliant behavior. Her current research is exploring how the hierarchical nature of authority figures in higher education influences the effectiveness of teaching pedagogy & instruction.
