Students with undergraduate degrees may earn a teaching license by taking courses full time in one of OWU's undergraduate teacher licensure programs. It typically takes 4 or 5 semesters to complete the licensure requirements, including a semester of student teaching.
Ohio Wesleyan University does not offer graduate programs. We welcome to our programs students who have bachelor's degrees and now wish to pursue licensure. We have found students with undergraduate degrees to be highly motivated; they often bring rich experiences and perspectives to their studies.
Students with undergraduate degrees may earn a teaching license by taking courses in one of OWU's undergraduate teacher licensure programs. However, they would need to be enrolled as a full-time student. It typically takes four or five semesters to complete the licensure requirements, including a semester of student teaching. Admission to the programs requires a minimum GPA of 2.8.
Please note that few-to-no evening, summer, or online classes are offered.
For more information, please email Dr. Nobel with the licensure area you are interested in and university transcripts.
