About
Laura Brice has been teaching general chemistry lab at Ohio Wesleyan University since 2010, but she is also an OWU alumni. She earned her bachelor's degree with a chemistry major here at OWU, followed by two master's degrees. The first was from Stanford University's Immunology Program, where she researched reporter gene systems for application to the study of HIV. The second was from the University of Michigan's Ford School of Public Policy where she studied the quantitative, economic, and political analyses of public policy issues with a particular interest in science and health policy.
Before teaching at Ohio Wesleyan, Brice worked as a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on issues such as emerging infectious diseases, drug addiction, and children's health insurance.
She lives in Worthington with her husband, two children, and a black lab-ish dog, and has become a professional spectator at her kids' cross country and track meets. In her spare time, she reads up on health and wellness issues, writes, and watches all types of movies.
