Recommended Image Sizes

There are several common images sizes used on our website and in our Connect2 OWU email newsletter. While we can certainly uses images that exceed the following sizes, let these serve as a guideline about the minimum image sizes we need for the various pieces/parts:

• The BigTree CMS has a number of image sizes that it uses in various places, but in general images that are 1440 pixels wide at the very least will work just about anywhere. When that width doesn't exist, however, the most common elements and their image sizes are:
  • News/Calendar Featured Image: 875x492
  • Webpage Header Image: 1440x570
• For Connect2 OWU, we have the following common sizes:
  • "Large" Image: 895x500
  • "Small" Image: 895x542
  • "Promo" Image: 895x407

All other image size needs are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Doug Thompson with questions.
