Health Services is operated by Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The Health Center, located on the ground level of Stuyvesant Hall, operates by appointment as a medical care facility for full-time OWU students. Services include, but are not limited to: physical examinations, illness/injury care and follow-up, vaccinations, mental health evaluations, women's health services, STD screenings, health promotion, as well as referrals to area specialists.

The Health Center is not intended to replace primary care providers or specialists. While at OWU, students are encouraged to maintain care and medical management for ongoing conditions with their health care providers from home, if possible.

All students are required to have health insurance. When visiting the OWU Health Center, students should bring their medical insurance card and student or legal ID.

All medical records are strictly confidential and no information is released without written authorization. Medical records are kept for seven years after leaving school, and then destroyed. Requesting any part of your medical records requires written authorization; see our Requesting Medical Records page.
