Eligibility
- The minimum GPA required to apply for a position is 2.50.
- Applicants must be available for an interview during the spring application period
- A student may not be employed in the same or similar position more than once.
- The program is open to all students regardless of financial need.
- Students are able to work an additional on-campus job with a StAP internship, however, they are not permitted to work over 20 hours per week. StAP interns cannot be an RA at the same time due to the responsibilities of an RA.
Financial Aid and Employment
Although awards are not based on financial need, the award amount will be incorporated into the aid packages of those participants who receive need-based financial aid at Ohio Wesleyan. A federal work-study award may be adjusted or a loan may be reduced or replaced. Treatment varies depending on the individual financial aid packages. Applicants should review their circumstances with a financial aid officer.
Financial Compensation
- Updated for 2024-2025: Positions can be for 1 semester only or for the full academic year. StAP positions are for a maximum of six hours per week and will be paid $11.50 per hour for 15 weeks per academic semester. Payment is made on a bi-weekly basis.
Application
Interested students should read through the descriptions and choose up to three of the positions. After eligible applicants have been interviewed by their potential supervisors, supervisors will make offers and you must accept or decline the offer by Thursday, April 29th at 5 pm.
In fairness to all, late applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.

You can work up to 6 hours a week during the fall and spring semesters while classes are in session.

No. There is space to list the different positions in the order of your preference.
