Summer Internship Housing Overview

The Summer Internship Housing program is for any university student, 18 years of age or older, currently enrolled at any higher education institution and completing an internship in the central Ohio region.  We provide an affordable, safe environment with no long term housing contract or security deposit.

Application  

All Non-OWU students wishing to live in OWU campus housing over the summer are required to fully complete and submit a housing application.  After a housing application is received, a member of our team will review the application and provide additional information regarding the housing contract.

Room Costs, Billing, and PAyment

The multiple occupancy room summer housing rate is $140/week.  The single room summer housing rate is $175/week.  Housing rates will be prorated based on your move-in and move-out dates.

You will be sent an invoice that details the costs associated with the entirety of your summer residency at Ohio Wesleyan University.  You can elect to pay the invoice in full on May 1.  If the invoice is not paid in full on May 1, three equal payments are due on May 1, June 1, and July 1.  The invoice will break down payment amounts for each of these three payments, and the July 1 payment may be adjusted to account for any changes in the length of your summer stay.

Move-In and Move-Out Dates

Summer internship housing can begin as early as May 15, 2024 and end as late as August 4, 2024.  Specific move-in and move-out dates within this period of time can be arranged with the Department of Residential Life, and are shared during the housing application process.  Costs associated with your housing assignment begin when a student has officially checked in and picked up their room key, and stop when a student has officially checked out and returned their room key.

Summer Housing Spaces

The spaces we use for summer housing change a little each year.  In recent years, summer housing has been offered in our Small Living Units and the Honors House.  We have both single- and double-occupancy spaces available.  The weekly rate includes all utilities, cable TV, wifi, laundry, and on-campus parking.  We strive to always offer spaces with access to full kitchens so students can cook for themselves.
