Emergency Action Plan – Gordon Fieldhouse

1. Remain Calm.
2. Dial 911 (need to dial 9 first if using a campus phone) and follow the steps below:

   5. Ambulance will be met at (what entrance, door, what side of building): North side of Branch Rickey Arena, pull down the sidewalk

   7. Allow the operator to hang up first!!!
3. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is located between Branch Rickey Arena and Gordon Fieldhouse.
4. The most qualified individual will provide appropriate acute care to the victim of the emergency situation.
5. The most qualified individual will also direct:
   1. An individual to open up necessary gates/doors for emergency medical services (EMS) to enter the facility. (Front doors of Branch Rickey Arena)
   2. A person to “Flag Down” the EMS team and direct them to the site of the emergency. (North Side...Main Entrance...of Branch Rickey Arena, instruct EMS to drive down sidewalk)
   3. Persons to oversee crowd management so as to not interfere with EMS.
6. Once EMS has departed, contact the Athletic Training staff member with your sport, if they were not present.
