Emergency Action Plan – Branch Rickey Arena

1. Remain Calm.
2. Dial 911 (need to dial 9 first if using a campus phone) and follow the steps below:

   2. I need paramedics at: Branch Rickey Arena
   3. My exact address is: 105 S. Sandusky St.
   4. Athlete is located in/on: Arena floor
   5. Ambulance will be met at (what entrance, door, what side of building): On the east side of the building between Branch Rickey and the Science Center and will be directed to the northeast entrance doors.
   6. I am calling from (phone #): ____________________
   7. Allow the operator to hang up first!!!
3. An automated external defibrillator (AED) is located between Branch Rickey Arena and Gordon Fieldhouse.
4. The most qualified individual will provide appropriate acute care to the victim of the emergency situation.
5. The most qualified individual will also direct:
   1. An individual to open up necessary gates/doors for emergency medical services (EMS) to enter the facility. (Northeast doors to outside)
   2. A person to “Flag Down” the EMS team and direct them to the site of the emergency. (In parking lot between Branch Rickey Arena and Science Center.)
   3. Persons to oversee crowd management so as to not interfere with EMS.
6. Once EMS has departed, contact the Athletic Training staff member with your sport, if they were not present.
