Securing Digital Information

All digital identifiable information saved by investigators in email or cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox), on internal or external drives (e.g., hard drives or USB drives), or on any other electronic storage device should be encrypted. Please contact OWU's Information Services for help with securing digital information.

• Create hard drive partitions (Windows OS) (Mac OS)

• Encrypt data (Windows OS) (Mac OS)

• Turn on Google's two-step verification (reduces risk of unauthorized access to data in OWU email and Drive accounts)
