This design presents a gay Black man with an upbeat expression, wrapped in a rainbow flag, all of which is to express a celebratory and positive vibe. His face is framed by the upside pink triangle - a long standing symbol of the LGBTQ community. Once considered a symbol of shame, it has now been reclaimed as a positive symbol of self-identity and resilience.

The lowercase Greek letter "lambda" is in the background and originated in the 1970's as a symbol of the New York chapter of the Gay Activists Alliance. The symbol was specifically chosen for its denotative meaning in the context of chemistry and physics: "a complete exchange of energy - that moment or span of time witness to absolute activity," reflecting the transformative movements within the community.

A stylized/semi-abstracted rendition of the two interlocking male symbols, representative of the gay male community and the importance of unity within are constructed in an interesting way on the lower half of the figure.
