A Muslim woman is depicted in this design. Dressed in a hijab head covering and a scarf, her appearance conveys introspection and contemplation.

A predominant element in this design is a reference to the beautifully intricate patterning customary to Islamic culture. Multiple pattern styles are represented in the background and foreground, with one of the patterns forming a mosaic-like appearance on the face.

Another recurring motif in the design is graphic representations of honey bees. Bees are highly revered in Islam; the structural genius of the honeycomb is believed to be due to divine inspiration, and their honey is recognized for its medicinal properties. This design also creates a stylistic relationship between the Islamic patterning and the honeycomb pattern. The lilies shown at the bottom are great pollinators for bees, and they also represent spiritual purity and inner beauty in the Quran.
