Online Training
Introductory training for new employees on the systems we use and training on the BigTree content management system (that powers the website you're viewing now) are online modules in Blackboard. Please let us know if you need access to these and you don't already have it.
Blackboard LMS Training
Information Services is pleased to announce these opportunities to learn how to use our online learning management system, provided by Anthology's professional Blackboard services. Each of these sessions are presented live, via Microsoft Teams.
Tuesday, Sept. 17, 12-1 - Student Performance Tracking
Lunch provided for those who RSVP

Do you want to easily track students' progress in your course? If so, join a one-hour Teams session offered by Blackboard professionals. You will learn how to easily set up Blackboard to automatically alert you when students are falling behind in:
- Assignments and assessments
- Logging into Blackboard
- Engaging in your Blackboard course
You will also learn how to customizable these alerts and view other progress tracking measures.
Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1 - 2 PM - Student Engagement: Discussions, Journals, and Groups
To build a successful learning community, students need tools to interact and have conversations. Through conversation, we learn about each other, ourselves, the topic, how to get along, and make group decisions.
Learn how to set up, participate in, and grade Blackboard's communication tools for self-reflection, collaboration, and communication.
Friday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. - AI Design Assistant
Learn how the AI Design Assistant can help you build your course and save you time. You can use advanced AI to help create learning modules, make rubrics, create question banks, and design assessments. Uncover how to adjust the complexity of content and customize everything that the AI Design Assistant generates, at every step of the process.
And, newly added: reflective AI conversations for students. Learn how to use the AI Design Assistant to give your course a unique look, to better engage your students. Ask questions and learn more! This session will be taught live and online.
Monday, Sept. 30, 1 - 2 PM - Ultra Gradebook & Grading
Get familiar with setting up the Gradebook. Learn how to grade assignments, tests, attendance, and so on. Learn how to track student progress and performance. Use your course's Gradebook to quickly access its coursework and enrolled students. Get a grasp on customizing the gradebook, searching submissions, and how to upload or download grades.

This offers online video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. Access to their collection of hundreds of courses and other resources is one of many benefits of joining your local library, including the Delaware County District Library and the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Students may use their campus mailing address to sign up for a card.
